What is MarriageWorks?

MarriageWorks

MarrriageWorks is an Australian marriage growth video series which will promote healthy marriages in your church. Our communities need to see God's plan for marriage modelled by Christians in this day of the"quick and easy" divorce. The effects of marriage breakdown are evident in every sector of our society. MarriageWorks is based on Biblical principles. The content and presentation are refreshingly down-to-earth.

Teaching

The course is written and presented by Jim and Grace Vine, who have been teaching their Marriage Growth Seminar throughout Australia since 1979. This proven marriage seminar has been made even better with the addition of impacting role-plays and discussions with family specialists.

Dramas

40 dramatic role-plays illustrate the principles being taught. The professional drama team includes two couples, Chris & Sue Chapman and Tony & Kay Nixon, and Kate Harris. They will move you to laughter and tears as they portray various situations throughout the sessions. You'll hear from Australian Family Specialists as the Vines seek their opinions on a range of topics.

Running MarriageWorks In Your Church

The series has been designed for use in small groups. It is made up of twelve 50 minute sessions, taught by the Vines, and can be used in one 12-week block or two 6-week blocks. All the information that co-ordinators need to make this course a great success for their group is provided in the Leader's Guide. A comprehensive Study Notes book has been written to accompany the course. Specifically designed to be shared, one between each couple, the note books are an essential part of the course because they enable each couple to discuss and apply the teaching to their married life. Once your church has purchased MarriageWorks, it can be used over and over again.
